As a scientist you about to embark on a journey of self-awareness and awareness of reality— that is, your surroundings, people and their behaviors, truths vs. lies, con vs. manipulation, good vs. evil (opinion vs. subjectivity), …, and so on.

It is highly recommended that you remove primitive thinking from the palate of your mind. Primitive thinking is judgement, shame, disagreement, argumentized communication, a desire to portray one’s greatest, to be smarter than others, to loath for others to believe you are of high intelligence. In a nutshell• humble your primitive ass.

Not a single person on this planet is more or less important than the other. Choosing to be a scientist will not work out for you if the goal is money and prestige. We all have our place in society and a true PLEM student chooses this path because it is their nature to do so. 50% of all students that attempt a PLEM degree will not succeed. Mostly because they have chosen to take on the role of a honeybee when they are genetically designed to be a worker ant.

All the false enthusiasm in the world is not going to help an ant make honey. Learn your place in society before you attempt to commit to something simply because you watched a television show that inspired you to want to be involved in science.

If you don’t want to do math & physics problems 24/7 for the next 5-years and then for the rest of your life, for the love of God, do not major in PLEM. Perhaps a more subtle STEM degree, CS, or business is better. No shame, we all have our place. Without city employees, you would not be able to flush your toilet. When it boils down to reality, not a single person’s position in laborious tasks outweighs the others. For without each other, we would have nothing.
