The Madison Murder Mysteries

Set in the heart of Madison, Wisconsin, The Madison Murder Mysteries is a collection of interconnected mystery short stories and a companion spin-off to the Capitol Murders series.

Each summer, Jonathan David handcrafts a limited run of miniature books for local book signings, with every edition featuring a brand-new investigation known simply as an Event. While each story can be enjoyed on its own, readers will uncover recurring characters, hidden connections, and an overarching mystery that continues to unfold throughout the series.

Event 1: Red Blood Sushi

Agent Fox continues his relentless search for the mysterious serial killer stalking the streets of downtown Madison.

When a gruesome death at a local sushi restaurant shocks the community, Fox discovers a killer unlike any he has encountered before. Rather than consuming the victims himself, the murderer manipulates circumstances so that unsuspecting restaurants unknowingly serve human flesh to carefully selected guests. As the investigation spirals into a disturbing web of psychological manipulation, deception, and ritualistic planning, Fox must race against time before the next carefully orchestrated meal is served.

Dark, suspenseful, and psychologically unsettling, Red Blood Sushi marks the beginning of another chilling chapter in the Madison Murder Mysteries.

Event 2: Tornado Death Room (being written)
